Joseph “Joe” Sostilio

1915 – 2000

Joe Sostilio in the #8 Frank Curtis Offy at a Triple A sprint car race at Williams Grove Speedway at Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on May 3, 1953.  He set the fastest time in time trails of 24.24 seconds which was a new track record that stood for eighteen years.  He then won the first heat race before finishing in second place in the feature event.
