Oakley, Kansas

Two of the three racetracks where automobiles once raced at Oakley, Kansas can be seen in this aerial view of the south edge of Oakley.  What is left of the one-mile American Legion racetrack where races were run in the late 1920s and early 1930s is visible in the lower left hand corner of the photo while the Sportsman Park half-mile racetrack where races were run from the late 1940s to the mid 1960s can be seen in the upper right hand corner of this photo.
