*Charlie Lutkie only raced at Oakley during the fair dates when the races were run on weekday afternoons.  He liked dry slick race tracks and he could always depend on the Oakley race track being dry slick.  He said that the competition was very tough at Oakley though.  In the evenings, Lutkie would participate in wrestling matches at the fair.  The racing promoter would pay the other drivers their winnings after the races but insisted on waiting until after he had watched Lutkie wrestle in the evenings before he would pay Lutkie his winnings.
