Davis led the first eleven laps before his car's rear end expired in the northeast turn.  McAninch started on the inside of the third row and assumed the lead after Davis dropped out winning by a large margin.

Burkhart crashed into the crossover gate on the front straightaway on the fifteenth lap destroying his car.

Campbell led the first eight laps before his engine expired.  J. D. Johnson then assumed the lead and held onto it until the end.

Whitehead and Lehman tangled in the northwest turn during a restart on the eighth lap.
