The cars of Ware and Cauley locked fenders and slid to a stop in the first turn on the first lap causing the race to be completely restarted.

Riead’s car threw a front wheel on the final lap but he continued on finishing the race on three wheels.

Ware, Lies, and Dye had pulled away to a four lap advantage over the rest of the field before Lies and Dye pitted with overheated engines. Once in the pits, Dye’s engine even caught on fire causing him an extended stay in the pits.
Massey was initially declared the winner but a recheck of scoring showed that Ware was the victor.
