Daryl Jones crashed through the inside fence and slid through the muddy infield.

McCormick took over the big car that Crist had been driving and started this race in last place.  He was working his way up through the field but had to drop out when the car began spewing hot oil.  McCormick spent the night in the hospital suffering from burns from the hot liquid.
