Lies started on the inside of the third row in his Kenny-Riffel-owned #55 but bumped Copeland’s Evart-Isaac-owned #8 on the start and then spun out in the south turn causing a complete restart.  When the race did get underway, Copeland immediately took the lead and kept it to the finish.  Lies ran in second pace the entire distance.

The Pat-Haskard-owned #86 driven by Jay Schrock tangled with the John Shippert-owned #04 driven by Grady Wade with Wades mount coming to rest on top of Schrock’s.
