Kansas State Fairgrounds

 Hutchinson, Kansas

Thursday – September 18, 1958

Promotional company – Auto Racing Incorporated of Minneapolis, Minnesota

Race promoter – Frank R. Winkley of Minneapolis, Minnesota

Scorekeeper – Verna Winkley of Minneapolis, Minnesota

Track Condition – “dry slick”

The I.M.C.A. late model stock cars had been scheduled for two days of racing during the Kansas State Fair in 1958 while the I.M.C.A. sprint cars were originally scheduled for three days of racing.  Both of the days set aside for the later model stock cars were rained out though so this final day of racing that was to feature the sprint cars was changed to a joint appearance by both the sprint cars and the late models.
