The Cadillac, driven by Milton Luft, spun out in the north turn and then rolled into the fence.

Herb Craig’s Nash suffered a broken rear axle.

Bill Lehman’s Pontiac stopped on the racetrack when his accelerator rod snapped.

The race took place from 2:58 p.m. until 4:28 p.m.  Chug Montgomery covered 143 Laps (71.5 miles) in the time allowed
