Three twin-cylinder motorcycles and three single cylinder motorcycles were entered. The Twins were eliminated from the race when they had been passed once while the singles were not eliminated until they had been passed twice.
Frank J. Brooks and F. T. Roberts of Artesia. New Mexico were the promoters of these races.
