Benny Feely of Enid, Oklahoma in the red shirt at left above, drove this 1955 Chevrolet stock car in the races at Winfield, Kansas on August 16, 1970.  Fifth place in his heat race and fifth place in the consolation race earned him fifteenth starting position in the A feature that day.  He broke the right rear axle exiting turn four on the third lap of the A feature which allowed the right rear wheel to come off.  The rear-end housing dug into the racetrack and sent the car tumbling down the front straight-away.  Feely was uninjured but rain set in before the race could be restarted and the remainder of the A feature was canceled.
